Volunteer Lawyers Project
VLP (Volunteer Lawyers Project) of the Boston Bar Association, which provides legal representation in civil matters to the indigent of the Greater Boston Area, conducts FREE attorney training to lawyers who already are (or agree to become) a member of the VLP pro bono panel and take one pro bono case over the next three months; participants agree that if they are unable to accept a case in the three month period then VLP will bill them $100 for the training and materials. For further information visit VLP’s website at http://www.vlpnet.org/training.

LAW Breast Cancer Walk This Sunday

SNESL’s LAW (Legal Association of Women) student group is once again partaking in the four mile American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 19th at Rogers Williams Park (Temple to Music location), and would like the alumni–both men and women–to help their efforts by either joining the team or making a small contribution.  As in past years, the team will be gathering at Professor Dunlap’s house after the walk to celebrate its achievements!  The LAW Board members thank you in advance for your support and participation. To either sign up for the walk or make a donation visit the SNESL LAW team page at http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/MakingStridesAgainstBreastCancer/MSABCFY09NewEngland?team_id=347334&pg=team&fr_id=11706&et=Ac6y8JHgwzwZqhyBIAjSdg..&s_tafId=194283. To view the route map visit http://makingstrides.acsevents.org/site/DocServer/Roger%20Williams%20Park%20Route%20Map.pdf?docID=37062; please be advised that shuttles will be available from the Providence area to Roger Williams Park as parking and traffic can be cumbersome.
