Help for Out-of-State Alumni: Reciprocity and LLM

Posted by Kevin Whitaker on April 14, 2009

Reciprocity Requests: Out-of-state alumni may be able to receive assistance with their job searches from the law schools in their local areas by making a “Reciprocity Request” through the SNESL Career Services Office. Granting of such requests are at the sole discretion of each law school, and some ABA law schools only grant requests to fellow ABA law schools. Reciprocity typically involves access to job listings and other printed materials, and may be limited in duration to only a few months.

LLM Programs: Have you or a classmate graduated from an LLM program? If so the SNESL Career Services Office would love to know! Leslie Wilson is in the process of compiling information about various programs to share with current students as well as graduates who are interested in furthering their legal education, and would like to be able to put them in touch with SNESL alumni who have already been through the programs in which they are interested. If you graduated from an LLM program outside of Massachusetts please indicate if you were allowed you to sit for that state’s bar exam upon graduation.
