Message from Alumni Assoc. President about Election Nominations

Posted by Kevin Whitaker on January 20, 2010

Dear Fellow Alumni:

The law school’s Alumni Association is seeking nominations from you of alumni—including yourself—to join its Board of Directors.  The Alumni Association will be holding annual elections this spring to select five (5) alumni to serve on its Board of Directors for three-year terms.  Please submit your nominations by completing the Nomination Form on the attached Annual Election Notice.

The Alumni Association has worked diligently to reconnect with alumni and to promote our law school.  This year we hosted the first alumni regional event on Cape Cod, and once again sponsored the ethics portion of the first year students’ orientation program.  In addition, we continue to improve upon the “beta” version of the interactive Alumni Association blog at www.SNESLalumni.com that we hope will become a resource for alumni to share ideas and keep in touch with one another.  The Alumni Association invites your new ideas for continued growth.

We hope you will join and become an active member of the Alumni Association.  Annual membership dues are only $25.00 and the membership application is available online at http://admin.snesl.net/pub_images/AlumAssociationMembershipForm2009b.pdf. There are several ways for you to participate in the Alumni Association including joining a committee to help plan a legal education seminar in your area of expertise, assist with event planning and work on fundraising campaigns.

We encourage you to nominate, support and elect Directors dedicated to the continuing excellence of the law school and the Alumni Association.  The alumni elected to the Board of Directors serve a vital role within the Alumni Association and our law school.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the Alumni Association’s annual elections.

Sincerely,

Roger J. Dugal ’89

President and Election Chair
